TAICHUNG 2017

So I haven't really talked about my trip to TW last year.
but trust me, everytime I'm back in TW it's like a whole new experience.
This time in Taichung, Bae planned the itinerary and brought me to tons of night markets, and a few cafes!

So out of all the cafes I've went to, there are some that I really like the atmosphere and food.


1. 艸水木堂 Cao Shui Mu Tang
Address: No. 364, Minsheng Road, West District, Taichung City, Taiwan 403Hours: 1100-1900hrsPhone: +886 4 2301 9569

Located within the stretch of shop/terrace houses.
Pretty much looking like a normal terrace house with a garden and all.
Took me awhile to actually confirm that this was the cafe.



Was greeted by these animal carousel the moment I stepped in.
Its just a very small shop front that can probably fit about 6pax?
But don't worry, they have the whole garden right outside for you to enjoy.
but sadly I didn't get any pictures of the garden because it was already late evening when I went over



Not exactly a bread person, but I'm telling you,
their lobster sandwich stole my heart.

So, it's probably a given to have desserts after dinner...
and here comes my favourite Ice cream cafe.

2. 塔拉朵 I'm Talato

Located just by the road side, and very easily recognisable.
BECAUSE THEY HAVE A FREAKING HUGE GELATO SEE-SAW.
I. AM. SOLD.


  
Whats the point of coming to an IC Cafe and not ordering icecream.
And with a glass of Passionfruit fizzzzz. :)
Sorbet was good, so was the fizz.
But my heart was already stolen by the view.

  
If this isn't aesthetics enough, idk what is.

okay, I think I actually did hog the pool a little longer than expected for photos.
But I cant help it!!






3.  飪室 Ren Shi

Located along the streets further down,
is one of my fav curry house.


 ^ Chicken tikka

 ^ Korma Curry (I think)
 ^ Garlic Naan
^ Aloo Fry

This is by far my FAVOURITE indian curry,
the curry is aromatic and slighty sweet, unlike the usual curry we always have in prata shop. however its not like japan curry as well. I can't even describe the taste in words but its just damn good!

And the aloo fry is very well seasoned, crispy in the outside and soft on the inside.

Garlic Naan, nuff said. 

Last but not least, the chicken.
Just perfect. the taste, the smell, and the texture. 
and the the sauce, o m g. 
I need some renshi curry now. :(

Finally found time on my hand to be telling you all about my latest cafe hopping  with Smitten!
Cleared all my schedule on hand just to hop over to Flavour Flings! Yes you heard it right! Flavour Flings!!

FF is a halal certified cafe which sells a couple of salted egg yolk dishes! They're also one of the first few to bring in Salted Egg Croissant which was always sold out within few hours of their opening hours! Thankfully now there have more Salted Egg dishes (Sorry, major salted egg lover here)

Highly recommend all the ones that I've tried if you're a huge salted egg lover! If you're not, don't worry! FF serves a huge range of all day breakfast/brunch menu, which is good for people who likes to sleep in in the morning -cough me cough-





Oh! did I mention that FF also have monthly special menu that also serve very very interesting food! So make sure you head down once in a month to check out what they have for you in store!

PS! Love how their cafe is so very cozy and they have different feel in the different corners! Obviously I wont take any step out without running around the different corners :P

Obviously I can't miss out any Big Bang Concert because there's GD. Apparently it was an impromptu decision to go. No regrets even thou it burnt such a big hole in my pocket, WORTH IT!

2015 has it fair shares of up and down for me, fair shares of happiness and heartbreaks. Thankfully for friends and friend-mily who made every single day so worth it. From impromptu overseas trip, to concert, to staycay, and for weeks and weeks of drinking/late night session with the squad. I'll usually pick my birthday month as the best month of each year, but this year, I'll pick December.

(above will be the main events in december, but following would be what went down in Dec)

This will be the end of my 2015 post, I am still missing out tons of photo because my harddisk is not connecting. So this will suffice I guess. (pretty much cause all the other photos are drinking photos as well)

Squad told me December will be a bang and indeed it was, can't wait for whats gonna come in 2016! And for all the good times and wonderful people I've seen in 2015, please come back again asap!

And for those who never left, you know who you all are. Especially those I've spent december with. Got to go for work now, overnight with my bao. First countdown on air, but it'll be good since it's with my love (L) hehe.
